Q1. Share with us one piece of advice from your experience as a female leader.

‘To be confident and persevere in whatever you do. Always review and recap how we can improve and do better be it success or failure. This will always be a continual improvement as an individual’

Through my years of career, from a junior staff to climbing up the corporate ladder to where I am now, it is definitely an uphill task as there are many challenges along the way.

There will be times where I will feel down when obstacles come along, especially when you just simply cannot get the formulae right.

However, through perseverance and when you realise that you finally manage to get the task completed, the sense of achievement is simply marvelous.

Q2. Who is your biggest female inspiration in life, and why?

My biggest female inspiration in life is none other than my mum. I respected her most is where she is not afraid of speaking up and is able to blend in any situation yet not going against her principle of life.

Transforming from someone who is oblivious on the economic news and is never confident in using technology, she has proven to me that through endurance and the ‘Never to be afraid to try’ mentality, she is now being kept up to date on the social and economic news though technology.

This is definitely a great impact that influences me to grow to where I am.

Q1. Share with us one piece of advice from your experience as a female leader.

I resonate with a mentor of mine with this piece of leadership advice to me many years ago. Building trust – with your team, customers, the community and industry you are in. Trust is one of the most critical factors of success in leadership and any business. We should constantly review any pain points within the organization and out of the organization faced by our customers and improve on these issues with creative solutioning, of which trust will increase in the process. My Advice is thus taking a leap of faith, trusting your team to do their very best, take good care of them and they shall take good care of your business growth.

Q2. Who is your biggest female inspiration in life, and why?

As a proud Singaporean lady, I am always inspired by other fellow Singaporean women who are leading their lives with great passion, power and grace.

My late aunt is one such inspiring lady whom I have utmost respect for. Growing up, I love staying with her and her family during the school holidays. Not only do I get to hang around with my cousins but I get to see how she went around managing a big household on top of her demanding career as the Director of Nursing.

She never fails to ensure the children (including me) in her house staying disciplined, encouraging us to develop the love of reading and to remain focus in whatever we do.

It is crucial to juggle time and energy wisely. My advice would be to set clear boundaries and hone in on what truly matters, be it at work or in personal life has been pivotal to my success.

Q2. Who is your biggest female inspiration in life, and why?

My biggest female inspiration in life would be my mum. She's been a constant pillar of support in everything I do, and her actions speak louder than words, making her an exemplary role model for me.

Q1. Share with us one piece of advice from your experience as a female leader.

When things go well don’t let it get to your head. When things don’t go well, don’t let it get to your heart. It’s important to remain humble during your success and push through during tough times.

Q2. Who is your biggest female inspiration in life, and why?

My Mom. She always shows up for everyone and everything even on her bad days. She never gives up and is incredibly positive even when things don’t go her way.
